Our Vision & Values

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters long-term strategic management plan, CityPlan 2030: Shaping Our Future, outlines the strategic direction of the Council and our City over the next 20 years.

Our Vision

A City which values its heritage, cultural diversity, sense of place and natural environment.

A progressive City which is prosperous, sustainable and socially cohesive, with a strong community spirit.

CityPlan 2030 is focused on priorities which were identified by Council and the community and translated into four key Outcomes:

4. Environmental Sustainability

CityPlan 2030 is the framework that helps us, as an organisation, remain focused on realising our Vision.

In addition to CityPlan 2030, the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters has embraced a management system based on the philosophy and principles of the Australian Business Excellence Framework (ABEF) which underpins management and co-ordination of the Council’s operations.

As a result of implementing the ABEF, the organisation has developed a shared set of Values which guide the day-to-day activities of the Council.

All Council staff are asked to take ownership of these core Values and recognise that they, as individuals, have a responsibility to contribute to the creation of an organisational culture in which these Values can be realised.
