Council Elections

Every four years, residents and business owners in the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters have the opportunity to vote for who they want to represent their interests and the community on Council.

Council elections are the biggest single voluntary civic participation activity in the State. The next Council election will take place during November 2018.

Council elections allow voters the opportunity to choose who they wish to represent them on council.

Any eligible person can stand as a candidate in a Council election, either as Mayor or Councillor. To be eligible to stand or to vote in Local Government elections you must be enrolled on the Council Voter's Roll.
