Legions of cycling fans will converge on The Parade, Norwood on Thursday 18 and Friday 19 January 2018 as they soak up the atmosphere of the 2018 Santos Tour Down Under and Norwood on Tour.

Incorporating the official 2018 Santos Tour Down Under Bupa Challenge Tour and Bupa Stage 4 Start, Norwood on Tour also features an exciting outdoor experience showcasing some of finest local food, wine and beverage offerings, live music and children’s entertainment.

The ‘Norwood on Tour’ Street Party, held on the eve of the Bupa Stage 4 Start of the Santos Tour Down Under, is a free event suitable for all the family.

City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Mayor, Robert Bria, said it was fitting that Norwood would once again play a key role in Australia’s premier cycling event.

“Home to our State’s first velodrome, as well as the oldest cycling club in the Southern Hemisphere, Norwood has a long and well-deserved reputation as the ‘home of cycling’ in South Australia,” Mayor Bria said.

“The Council is delighted to have again been selected to host to the Bupa Challenge Tour and the Bupa Stage 4 Start of the 2018 Santos Tour Down Under,” he said.

“The celebration wouldn’t be complete without a unique street party for everyone to enjoy as part of this fantastic international sporting event.”
