We welcome your feedback on our draft 2018-2028 Long-term Financial Plan.

Your feedback will ensure that your support or concern for a certain issue or proposal is considered when the Council is making a decision.

Why the Long-term Financial Plan is important

The Long-term Financial Plan is a key document in the Council’s Strategic Planning Framework. It is the primary financial management tool which links together the Council’s Strategic Plan (CityPlan 2030), Whole of Life Asset Management Plans and the Annual Business Plan and Budget.

Feedback must be received by 5.00pm, Wednesday 21 March 2018.

Feedback guidelines

Your feedback should:

  • clearly state your opinion and reasons for or against the proposal or sections thereof
  • state how your concerns could be addressed or outline any suggestions for resolving a problem or issue (if possible)
  • list any references or provide evidence, relevant material, or specific examples to help demonstrate your views or suggestions
  • include the section, recommendation and page number of the proposal to which your comments refer (if relevant).

To ensure accurate interpretation of your comments into the Schedule of Submissions, please ensure your comments are concise and number all issues you wish to address.

 

Next steps

Consideration of feedback

All feedback received before the closing date will be summarised in a Schedule of Submissions, for consideration by the Council at a Council workshop and/or a formal Council meeting. This consideration may result in the proposal being modified to address the issues, approved without modification, or refused.

Please note: Submissions may be included in Council’s Agenda which is a publicly available document.


Communication of final outcome

The Council will communicate its decision through at least one of the following mediums:

  • personal email or letter
  • Council meeting minutes
  • Council website
  • Council eNewsletter.
