If you are having difficulty getting to the library, our Home Library Services can help you access our libraries and collection.

The Library bus is available to frail aged residents aged 65 years and over, who are without their own vehicle and who are unable to catch public transport.

The bus will visit you once a month and take you to and from the library, with 30 minutes to browse and borrow your items.

Home Library Service

The Home Library Service is available to residents, and their carers, who are unable to visit the library due to age, frailty, disability or ill health.

Home Library staff are available to assist you Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5pm.

 

How it works

Home Library staff will speak with you to find out what library items you would like to receive and will select them for you before your delivery.  A library staff member or registered Council volunteer will visit you on a monthly basis to deliver your items.

Eligibility

To determine your eligibility, a Council staff member will visit you in your home to carry out an assessment.
