Welcome from the Mayor

Mayor Christmas PageantOn behalf of the Council, I am pleased to invite you to participate in the Norwood Christmas Pageant on Saturday 25 November 2017 and be part of the Council’s most iconic community event.

The Norwood Christmas Pageant encourages members of the local community to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and provides a wonderful opportunity for community groups, schools, businesses and individuals to participate in the festivities.

I hope you will join us and help to make the Norwood Christmas Pageant an even bigger success in 2017.

How to get involved

We have a wonderful selection of colourful costumes, available in a range of sizes and styles - there's something for everyone!

If you would like to be part of the Pageant, simply borrow a costume from us and we will allocate you to a Council float. There's no need to apply online, simply attend our costume lending day - details below.


Costume lending details

COSTUME SELECTION COSTUME RETURNS
Saturday 18 November, 9am - 3pm

Saturday 25 November, 12 noon - 3pm

Saturday 2 December, 9am - 3pm

All costumes are to be collected from and returned to the Norwood RSL Hall, 4 Woods Street, Norwood.

Please note, costumes cannot be reserved and are handed out on a first-in-best-dressed basis.

 

Applications have closed for 2017, if you wish to be involved next year, please email events@npsp.sa.gov.au with your details.

Every year the number of entries continues to grow and places are limited so it is suggested that you submit your form as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.


Key dates

To secure your place in the Pageant line-up, please apply online by Friday 13 October 2017.

Confirmation of your participation will be sent via email, or post if requested, by Friday 27 October 2017.

 

Public Risk/Liability Insurance

For the duration of the event, you/your group must hold Public Risk/Liability Insurance for a minimum of twenty million dollars ($20,000,000.00) per claim.

You/your group must provide the Council with a copy of your Certificate of Currency and immediately notify the Council if the insurance policy either lapses or is cancelled.

Best Dressed Float prize

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is offering a prize of $500 for the Best Dressed Float entry, sponsored by Grill'd Norwood.

The winning entry will be judged on the day and notified following the event.
