Justice of the Peace (JP)
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters JP service is operated voluntarily by appointed Justices of the Peace.
A JPs main duty is to act as an independent and objective witness to documents used by individuals for both official and/or legal purposes.
A JP can assist with:
- completion of an affidavit for use in court
- certifying a true copy of an original document
- certifying a person's identity
- attesting or witnessing the execution of a document
- witnessing a statutory declaration.
Norwood Town Hall (Monday - Friday)
JP's are in attendance at the Norwood Town Hall from Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 5.00pm on most days.
It is important to contact Customer Service on 08 8366 4555 on the day you intend to visit to confirm a JP is in attendance. Appointments are not taken.

St Peters Library Complex (Saturday only)
A JP is in attendance at the St Peters Library Complex every Saturday from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
It is important to contact our Library Staff on 08 8334 0200 on the Saturday you intend to visit to confirm a JP is in attendance. Appointments are not taken.
