Cr Mike Stock
I was very pleased to be re-elected to Council at the August 2017 Maylands/Trinity Ward supplementary election.
My previous Local Government service includes serving as Mayor and Councillor for the Port Adelaide-Enfield and (former) Enfield Councils, and more recently as an NPSP Councillor for seven years. During this latter period I served on various committees including Business and Economic Development, Swimming Centres Review, Parade Precinct, and Fashion Festival. I also represented Council on the East Waste Board.
Prior to my retirement I was a qualified accountant (FCPA) and for my final twenty-three working years I was employed as Business Manager at St. Paul’s College. Now I have plenty of time to spend on Council matters.
In one of the best decisions we’ve ever made, my wife Rita and I moved to NPSP in 2001 and we’ve enjoyed life here ever since - and serving on Council enables me to give something back to our community which gives us so much enjoyment and a wonderful lifestyle.
My personal interests include travel (including visiting our two adult sons and granddaughter who live interstate), and I’m a volunteer member of community broadcasting group Radio for the Third Age which presents ‘Roundabout’ each weekday on Radio Adelaide. I enjoy most music genres and I’m a long-standing member of the Norwood Football Club, attending most of their home and away games.
I look forward to serving our City for the balance of my current abbreviated term and beyond.
