Cr Mike Stock
I was returned to Council at the August 2017 supplementary election for Maylands/Trinity Ward, and re-elected for a further four years in 2018. I have found my time back on Council to be very rewarding.
My previous Local Government service includes terms as Mayor and Councillor for the Port Adelaide Enfield and former Enfield Councils, and more recently as a Norwood Payneham and St Peters Councillor for seven years. During the latter period, I served on various committees including Business and Economic Development, Swimming Centres Review, Parade Precinct, and Adelaide Fashion Festival. I also represented Council on the Board of East Waste.
Prior to my retirement I was a qualified accountant (FCPA) and for my final 23 working years I was employed as Business Manager at St Paul’s College. I now have plenty of time to spend on Council matters.
One of the best decisions my wife Rita and I ever made was to move to NPSP in 2001 and we’ve enjoyed life here ever since. Serving on Council enables me to give something back to our community which gives us so much enjoyment and a wonderful lifestyle.
Outside of Council, my interests include travel (including interstate visits to our two adult sons and granddaughter), and I’m a volunteer for community radio group Radio for the Third Age which broadcasts ‘Roundabout’ each weekday on Radio Adelaide. I’m also a long-standing member of the Norwood Football Club.
I look forward to serving our City for many years to come.
