The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is seeking comments from the community on the Felixstow Reserve Masterplan Draft Concept.

 

Draft concept

Elements that are being incorporated into the design include a wetland, a network of pedestrian and cycle pathways, BBQs and picnic facilities, new public toilets and car parking. The Draft Concept also includes natural play equipment, fitness equipment, a bocce area and a multi-purpose court.

The Felixstow Reserve Masterplan is being undertaken concurrently with the Waterproofing Eastern Adelaide Stormwater Harvesting & Re-use Project, which proposes a wetland at Felixstow Reserve. Based on feedback from the community at the initial consultation stage, the Felixstow Reserve Masterplan Draft Concept depicts the preferred location, shape and size for this wetland. The Draft Concept ensures that the wetland is integrated into the overall design of the Reserve and that an innovative and well-deigned outcome is achieved.

 

Consultation and fun Park Day

The Felixstow Reserve Masterplan Draft Concept will be on public consultation from Wednesday 21 May 2014. Feedback is sought in writing by no later than 5.00pm Friday 13 June 2014. During this period any member of the public is invited to make a submission.

This is the second step in the consultation process for the Felixstow Reserve Masterplan, where the community is being invited to provide feedback on the facilities, assets and experiences that are being proposed for inclusion at Felixstow Reserve.

The information collected will be used to inform the next stage of the Felixstow Reserve Masterplan Project, which will see the Draft Concept progress to the final master planning stage. Once a Draft Masterplan is developed the community will once again be given the opportunity to comment.

Felixstow Reserve Park Day - Saturday 31 May 2014

To help facilitate this consultation, the Council is also hosting a Park Day.

Time: 11.00am – 2.00pm
Location: Felixstow Reserve, Langman Grove, Felixstow

There will be a marquee covered area with interactive displays and exhibits as well as a free BBQ, coffee, face painting and balloon artist for the kids. Come along to the Park Day and have your say!
