Felixstow Reserve Masterplan - Community Consultation

21/10/2015

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is seeking feedback from the community, on the Felixstow Reserve Masterplan.

The Council, in conjunction with its Consultants, Oxigen (Landscape Architects and Urban Designers), has developed the Felixstow Reserve Masterplan. This is the third and final stage in the master planning process for Felixstow Reserve. Once endorsed, the Masterplan will provide the framework for the redevelopment of this significant piece of open space, in order to enhance and realise the full potential of this regional asset.

Based on feedback received from the community during the previous two stages of consultation, the Felixstow Reserve Masterplan has been designed to reflect the aspirations of the community in regards to the redevelopment of Felixstow Reserve.

Key elements that have been incorporated into the design include a wetland and associated infrastructure, including opportunities for play and interface with water, and a large open space (kick-about) lawn area, for informal sport, recreation and play.

Also included in the design is a network of pedestrian and cycle pathways, BBQ and picnic facilities, new public toilets and car parking. The masterplan also includes natural play equipment, fitness equipment, a running path with distance markers, multi-purpose court and a games and activity space.
