Changing Places: Norwood through the lens of Italo Vardaro

Italo Vardaro’s attachment to place is captured through the camera lens. Single-fronted cottages, furling patterns of wrought iron and memories of childhood are juxtaposed against a rapidly changing world.

Yesterday’s Daughters: A History Exhibition Celebrating Women

This beautiful exhibition tells the story of some of the courageous women of Norwood Payneham & St Peters who campaigned for political reform, social justice and a more egalitarian society.

Mary MacKillop: A Star in the Firmament of Feminism

Muse over the life of Mary MacKillop, an extraordinary Australian who believed in the dignity of all humans regardless of gender, class or race and who was prepared to challenge orthodox beliefs about social justice.

The Secret River: Past and Present (SOLD OUT)

This tour along the banks of the Karrawirra Parri at St Peters will reveal how the Kaurna lived in harmony with the river and how European settlement in 1836 changed the landscape from Hackney to Walkerville.

Silent Storm: Dr Hedley Marston and 1950s Atomic Tests

This film tells the intriguing story of local CSIRO scientist, Hedley Marston, who claimed that British atomic tests at Maralinga led to the fall-out of deadly strontium 90 across South Australia in the 1950s.
