Art on Parade 

Art on Parade is the perfect platform to showcase your art on Adelaide’s premier main street, The Parade.

Expressions of interest to exhibit in Art on Parade 2023 have now closed. Artworks will be on display from 1 - 30 April.

Prizes

For the first time in its history, Art on Parade will be awarding two prizes to exhibiting artists:

  • Inaugural Art on Parade Prize worth $500 cash - winner determined by two industry professionals
  • People’s Choice Award worth $250 cash - winner determined by public vote.

The winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony on Friday 28 April (venue to be advised).

Public Art & Culture Grants - grants now open

Applications are now open and close Tuesday 11 April 2023. 

The Public Art & Culture Grants Scheme is offered twice a year in February and October and is part of the Council's Community Funding Program. 

The Scheme has three funding categories:

  1. Artistic & Cultural Programs & Events
  2. Artistic Development
  3. Visual Public Art.

Applicants can apply for up to $5,000 per financial year.

SALA Festival artist support

Hold or host an exhibition

Artists are invited to exhibit their works in the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters during the South Australian Living Arts (SALA) Festival (1 - 31 August).

Registration to participate in SALA is now open and closes Wednesday 10 May.

SALA fee reimbursement

Solo artists presenting their own exhibition or participating in an open studio event in the City of NPSP are invited to claim a reimbursement of the SALA registration fee up to $135.

SALA reimbursement applications close Wednesday 17 May.

To apply for the SALA reimbursement artists are required to:

  • register to participate in the Festival via SALA website by 10 May
  • pay the relevant fee to SALA
  • download and complete the SALA Reimbursement Application Form (button link below)
  • email the Application Form along with a copy of the SALA registration receipt to the Council's Arts Officer: ecomley@npsp.sa.gov.au
  • acknowledge Council’s support by including ‘Proudly supported by the City of NPSP’ on promotional material and use social media hashtags #cityofnpsp @cityofnpsp.

Adelaide Fringe artist support

Applications closed 20 October 2022.

The Council supports local artists, producers, events, venues and businesses participating in the 2023 Adelaide Fringe with a fee subsidy.

Artists who are participating in the Council area can claim a $125 reimbursement of the registration fee.

Canvas Youth Arts & Events Project

Canvas Youth Arts & Events Project provides young people with the opportunity to experience new art forms, develop skills, hear from industry professionals and showcase their talents.

Areas of focus include event management, music, short film and photography.
