Annual Salary $67,000 to $68,500 + Statutory Superannuation and Income Protection (Illness, Accident & Journey)
Apply your leadership and horticultural skills working in some of Adelaide’s most popular public open spaces for the enjoyment of our community.
The Role
This hands-on role will lead the Parks & Gardens Team and assist the Works Coordinator with the preparation and delivery of daily work plans and programs while undertaking a variety of tasks associated with Parks & Gardens maintenance.
Tasks include irrigation testing and repairs, playground inspections, reports and repairs as well as garden maintenance, such as mowing, weeding, mulching, planting, watering, fertilising and cleaning while leading a small team of highly skilled Team Members.
You will be supported in a safe working environment, which has well-established processes, practices and knowledge.
About You
To be successful in this role you will be a pro-active team player who takes pride in the work they do and possess the following skills and experience:
• Certificate III in Horticulture or Arboriculture (essential)
• Current Drivers licence (essential)
• MR Truck Licence (essential)
• Work Zone Traffic Management Certificate (essential)
• Demonstrated experience leading and overseeing a team
• Ability to undertake direction and communicate information and instructions effectively to the team
• Experience managing work sites safely, to timelines and within budget
• High-standards of work and an excellent work ethic
• Enjoys working with others in a positive manner to achieve high quality outcomes
Your experience within the horticultural or arboriculture industry and Certificate level qualifications in horticulture, arboriculture and leadership will be highly regarded.
