The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters currently has multiple employment opportunities for experienced Educators to join the St Peters Child Care Centre & Preschool. The positions available are:

- Five (5) month fixed-term, full-time contract Educator - commencing 19 February 2023 and concluding 19 June 2023 (job #qA111881)

Casual Adult Hourly Rate of $40.93 + Statutory Superannuation.

Annual Salary of $64,000 - $70,000 + Statutory Superannuation.

As classified under the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Municipal Officers Enterprise Agreement. Subject to qualifications, skills and experience.

The St Peters Child Care Centre & Preschool has a friendly and caring atmosphere that offers a highly professional child care service and educational program. The St Peters Child Care Centre & Preschool values the importance of play in assisting children to learn. It offers small group class sizes to enable supportive learning environments for both the children and Educators.

The Role
The Educator works collaboratively with the Director and Team Leaders to provide high-quality education and care to children up to five (5) years old in a supportive, nurturing and secure environment.

This hands-on position works in consultation with team members and families to document and assess children’s learning and to develop learning outcomes using the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

About You
To be successful in this role you will have a passion for working with children and their families, be committed to providing the highest-quality care and education and possess the following skills and experience:
• A Diploma of Children’s Services or higher qualification (Essential)
• First Aid Certificate, Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012B or a current HLTAID014) (Essential)
• A Mandated Notification Certificate (Essential)
• CPR Certificate (Essential)
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (Desirable)
• Excellent communication and service skills
• Knowledge of Quality Improvement Plans and reflective practice
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
