We encourage and support local individuals and groups to hold events which engage and benefit our diverse community.
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters encourages the community to host large events in our beautiful parks, reserves and indoor venues.
The following information is provided to assist you in planning a community event in our City.

Before you plan for your major event, download and read the External Events Guidelines.
The Guidelines provide information on planning and managing major community events, including:
- initial planning
- permits, licences and approvals
- public liability insurance
- road closures and parking controls
- cleaning and waste management
- food and alcohol, safety and accessibility.
Where can I hold my event?
The Council owns and operates a range of indoor and outdoor venues that are available for hire for any size, budget or purpose. You can also apply to hold your event on a public or arterial road.
Hire a community venue
We offer a number of venues for hire, ideal for a range of events, including yoga classes, seminars and conferences.
