The aim of the Friends of the Billabong (FOB) is to restore native habitat, increase biodiversity and improve the quality of water flowing into the River Torrens.

FOB volunteers participate in regular working bees and are mainly involved in natural re-vegetation work and offer practical, hands-on assistance including planting, weed eradication, watering and general site improvement according to the agreed management plan.

Working bees are held at the St Peters Billabong once a month on the third Sunday of the month.
