Have you ever been keen or curious to experience dance classes at your own pace?
Or perhaps you would like to re-ignite a previous passion for movement and expression that was formerly an important part of your life.

Designed to be fun and challenging, the classes inspire confidence while enhancing coordination, memory, and imagination. They’re also an opportunity to boost social engagement, and mental and physical health.

The one hour sessions are led by experienced teaching and performing artist Lisa Lanzi.
A Ruby Award-winning Community Arts specialist, former professional dancer, and working actor/director/creator, Lisa has taught classes for older adults all over Adelaide, in many different settings.

Weekly classes commencing Wednesday, May 1 2024
10.45am – 11.45am (cuppa and chat 11.45am – 12.00pm)

Classes will draw on a range of dance styles and techniques specifically adapted for those with movement or balance concerns and for those living with Parkinson’s, MS, Stroke, Arthritis, or reduced mobility.

No matter your fitness level, Lisa’s classes are adapted for all, and both seated and standing options will be demonstrated. These classes are an endorphin-releasing and unique way to add dance into your life.

Lisa lives with disability and understands that some people may need support to attend classes. A family member, friend, or support person is encouraged to participate with you for free – please discuss your needs with the teachers or Adelaide Theatre Academy staff.
