Category: Consultation

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is developing a new Economic Prosperity Plan 2027–2032 to help shape the future of our local economy.

Our City is home to more than 7,000 businesses, from shops, cafés and restaurants to health, professional services, manufacturing, education and creative businesses. Together, they provide local jobs, attract investment and visitors, and contribute to making our City a great place to live, work and do business.

Our economy is changing. Technology is transforming the way businesses operate, people are working and shopping differently, industries and workforce needs are evolving, and our City continues to grow.

The Council’s Economic Prosperity Plan provides an opportunity to look ahead and consider what kind of economy we want in the future and what needs to happen now to get there.

Through the consultation we want to understand:

  • What it is like to do business in our City.
  • What is working well and what could be improved.
  • Opportunities and barriers to business growth and investment.
  • How our economy, workforce and industries are changing.
  • Where our City has strengths we can build on.
  • What opportunities should be pursued over the next five to 10 years.
  • What role Council and other partners can play in supporting future prosperity.

Feedback will be considered alongside economic data, research, benchmarking and analysis of emerging trends to inform the priorities and actions within the draft Economic Prosperity Plan.
