And yet I still don’t have milk
Friday, 16th Feb 2024 - Saturday, 16th Mar 2024
101 Payneham Road, St Peters
Opening night: 16 February at 6pm
Making its debut at Adelaide Fringe, ‘And yet I still don't have milk’ is a collaborative exhibition by emerging artists Mia Guerrieri and Erin Renfrey.
The concept was born from a moment of personal crisis, when amidst all the chaos, the mundane task of buying milk remained undone. This seemingly absurd notion sparked a moment of levity and humour that had been missing at that time, and the exhibition aims to capture that spirit of absurdity and joy.
Whether you're an art connoisseur or simply someone looking to be captivated by creativity, this intimate exhibition will share a unique perspective of the world through a mixture of traditional watercolour paintings and digitally produced work.
Erin is an emerging artist working traditionally in watercolour and gouache. She completed her Bachelor of Creative Arts at Flinders University and ACArts in 2023. In the same year she was selected for the Helpmann Graduate Exhibition, receiving the Hill Smith Art Advisory Award and Square Holes Award. Renfrey's practice explores inner worlds, ecology and imagination. She investigates these ideas through anthropomorphism and magical realism, merging our world with fantastical elements.
