The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters has welcomed the exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the Santos Tour Down Under.

Since the event was launched in 1999, the Santos Tour Down Under has delivered strong economic benefits to the South Australian communities and regions who host this iconic event.

Men's Health Partners Stage 2 - Norwood to Uraidla, 148.1km: Thursday 22 January 2026 - 11.10am.

Starting in crowd-favourite Norwood, the race ascends Norton Summit to the first KOM at Ashton before heading past Cleland, into Crafers, and through Uraidla. After Lenswood and Lobethal, the real challenge begins with two brutal ascents of the iconic Corkscrew Road.

This year, riders won’t descend into Campbelltown—instead, they’ll turn left at the top and continue climbing Montacute Road before looping back through Uraidla for a final lap. With steeper gradients than Willunga Hill, the Corkscrew and extended climb offer a prime chance for aggressive racing. The stage finishes in Uraidla’s lively main street.

Santos Tour Down Race Director, Stuart O'Grady said on paper this is potentially the hardest stage we’ve had in Santos Tour Down Under history.

“Starting in Norwood which always attracts really strong crowds, the peloton will go up Norton Summit to the first KOM at the top of Ashton."

“We’ve had the prologue and a stage for the sprinters, and now the third day of racing will be a real ‘GC shaker’."
