The Gallery at St Peters Town Hall, 101 Payneham Road, St Peters
Spoiled by choice, this city has a great number of pubs. Just as many have been lost! Explore their fascinating stories through this display of photos from the archive and then visit them. The exhibition features archival photographs of this city’s great pubs – the ones still standing and those long gone.

DIY House History at the Cultural Heritage Centre

Learn how to research the history of your property. Get started by accessing old council records and online tools. A service for residents of Norwood Payneham & St Peters that encourages us all to appreciate our rich heritage. If you are simply curious or interested in renovating or restoring your special place, this session is for you.

Step into the stories of Kensington — where every street has a past to tell. First surveyed in 1838, discover the historic cottages, shops, pubs and other buildings. Learn about the development of the area, about the people who lived here and their fascinating stories.

Drawing Historic Norwood
Saturday 2 May | 10:00am – 12:00pm
Sketch, squiggle & scrawl together on a local Norwood street corner. Resident artist, Deborah Smalley, hosts a 2 hour "wobbly-line" ink pen sketching workshop. No drawing experience is necessary. It's lots of fun - come on, don't be shy. Create your own artwork of some of Norwood's historic buildings.

Cultural Heritage Centre is located within the St Peters Town Hall Complex at 101 Payneham Road, alongside the St Peters Library and The Gallery.
