  • installation of new 21 metre bridge
  • installation of new 30 metre boardwalk along Linear Park
  • new retaining wall along Linear Park

  • native landscaped area off Torrens Road.

Background

The Department of Environment and Water (Green Adelaide) in partnership with the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, have a joint program to improve the quality of urban stormwater discharging into rivers and the sea.

In 2012, a condition assessment and performance review of the GPTs, located at the outlet of Second Creek and on the River Torrens at St Peters, determined that there was a need for ongoing maintenance.

In 2017, this assessment was downgraded and it was determined that there needed to be improved GPT infrastructure.
