The St Morris Bikeway and Streetscape Upgrade is enhancing road safety and accessibility for people of all ages and abilities.
Along one of the Council’s primary cycle routes, it includes improvements along the route and intersections to support safer and more sustainable transport.
Key upgrades include:
- New on-road bicycle markings and parking delineation
- Pedestrian refuges on Clifton Street and Jones Avenue at their intersection with Portrush Road
- Upgrade to the two roundabouts on Clifton Street
- New footpath adjacent to Trinity Gardens Primary School on Aberdare Avenue
- Landscaped buildouts and new kerb ramps at the intersections on Aberdare Avenue
- Intersection realignment at Seventh Avenue and Green Street.
These works will be staged and where possible coordinated with the St Morris Reserve Upgrade—including Trinity Valley Stormwater Drainage Upgrade: Stage 4 to minimise disruption and maximise community benefit.
