If you are having difficulty getting to the library, our Home Library Services can help you access our libraries and collection.

Library Bus Service

Volunteer - library

The Library Bus Service is available to residents who no longer drive and are unable to access public transport.

The bus will visit you once a month and take you to and from the St Peters Library, with one hour to browse and borrow your items.

 

Frequency

Every fourth Tuesday afternoon of the month. Door to door pick up commences at 1.00pm.

Home Library Service

The HoLibrary - stack of booksme Library Service is available to residents, and their carers, who are unable to visit the library due to age, frailty, disability or ill health.

The service runs once a month from the Payneham Library, 9.30am to 5pm.

 

How it works

Home library staff will speak with you to find out what library items you would like to receive and will select them for you before your delivery.  A library staff member or registered Council volunteer will visit you on a monthly basis to deliver your items.

 

What you can borrow

Home library customers enjoy full access to all library materials available for loan, including:

Fiction Audio books Non-fiction
CDs DVDs/Blu-rays Magazines
Listening devices / audio players e-books  

Eligibility / how to make a booking

To determine your eligibility, a Council staff member will visit you in your home to carry out an assessment.
