Free Internet, Wi-Fi and Computer Access
Our libraries offer free access to computers and the Internet at all three locations. Whether you need to browse the web, use Microsoft Office, or connect your own device to Wi-Fi, we’ve got you covered.
Public computers
All library computers include:
- Internet access
- Chrome Web Browser
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Various Windows applications
- Windows 11 operating system
Tip: Don’t forget to bring a USB to save your work!
Computer locations
Norwood Library:
- 3 public PCs (60-minute sessions)
- 1 express PC (30-minute sessions)
Payneham Library:
- 6 public PCs (60-minute sessions)
St Peters Library:
- 6 public PCs (60-minute sessions)
- 1 all abilities access PC (60-minute sessions)

Booking a computer
You can book a computer by phone or in person at any of our libraries. Your library card or ID is required.
Bookings can be made for the same day or up to one week in advance.You’ll receive a printed receipt showing your PC number and booking time.
Important: Using someone else’s library card or ID without permission is prohibited and may result in prosecution.
