Jaclyn Moriarty is an internationally bestselling author of books for children, young adults and adults. Her stories have been translated into many languages and have won a range of prestigious awards, including the NSW Premier's Literary Award, Queensland Literary Award and Aurealis Award. Her books have also been recognised as a CBCA Honour Book and a Boston Globe–Horn Book Honor Book, and shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Literary Awards, the Nebula Award and the Russell Prize for Humour Writing for Young People.

Before becoming a full-time author, Jaclyn worked as a media and entertainment lawyer. She grew up in Sydney, has lived in the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, and now lives in Sydney once again.
