Reducing the impacts of flooding while improving safety in Felixstow

25/02/2021

Work is commencing on a City of Norwood Payneham and St Peters project which will reduce the impacts of flooding, while improving safety for pedestrians and other road users in Felixstow.

The $1.25 million Langman Grove Road Reconstruction Project includes new stormwater infrastructure at the intersection of Wicks Road and Langman Grove, as well as 200 metres of new kerbing, 16 new pram ramps, new line marking and median strips.

Work at the site began this week and is scheduled to be completed in April 2021.

During construction times (7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday) detours will be in place for all traffic, except buses. Residential access and buses only will be permitted after hours.

Langman Grove is a Council owned and maintained road that stretches from Briar Road to Wicks Avenue.

The project is funded by the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and Federal Government Roads to Recovery Program and Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
