Draft Corporate Emissions Reduction Plan

12/04/2021
Consultation closed 5pm, Sunday 2 May 2021.
For more than 20 years, the Council has implemented a range of initiatives to help reduce corporate emissions.
The Council recently set a target of “zero corporate carbon emissions by 2030” through its Strategic Plan, CityPlan 2030
The draft Corporate Emissions Reduction Plan outlines a strategic approach to reaching this target.
The top five emission sources for the Council are energy, natural gas, transport, landfill and water and they equate to over 95% of the total emissions. The remaining emissions sources are from paper and refrigerants.
The Plan identifies key projects and activities to reduce emissions.
