The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is the latest council in Adelaide to trial e-scooters with both Beam and Neuron devices available to ride from today.
The Council will become the fifth in South Australia to trial e-scooters, joining Cities of Adelaide, Charles Sturt, West Torrens and Port Adelaide Enfield.
Neuron (orange) and Beam (purple) will have 100 e-scooters each in their fleet, covering the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters approximately 16 square kilometres.
E-scooters are capped to 15km/hr speed and users must be at least 18 years old and wear a scooter helmet.
E-scooters cannot be used along The Parade, Norwood between Osmond Terrace and Portrush Road as it is an ‘exclusion zone’.
