Cr Rita Excell
I am honoured to represent the residents of St Peters Ward on the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Council.
Having lived in the area for over twenty years, I understand the character and values of our community. I bring over thirty years of professional experience as a civil engineer, with expertise in road safety, traffic management, stormwater, sustainability, land-use planning and asset management, and now running my own small business. This background equips me to make evidence-based decisions, ensure that ratepayers’ money is managed responsibly, and focus on investments that provide lasting benefits for our community.
I am committed to preserving the heritage and character of our suburbs and encouraging sustainable development that respects the scale and style of our neighbourhoods. At the same time, I am passionate about protecting and restoring our natural environment and supporting the efforts of local volunteers. I will continue to advocate for higher standards of maintenance for our parks, roads and public spaces, while promoting greater transparency and accountability in Council spending and decision-making.
