Welcome New Residents
Home > About Council > About our City > Welcome New Residents
Welcome to the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters. We are delighted that you have chosen our City as your new home.
Welcome from Mayor Robert Bria
You join more than 35,000 other residents whose home boasts a rich history as South Australia’s first municipal council. This proud heritage is reflected in our City’s cosmopolitan atmosphere, superb heritage buildings and more than 180 hectares of beautiful parks and gardens, all of which we encourage you to discover and explore.
There is such a diverse range of leisure, business and cultural activities on offer across our City so please read on to see a snapshot of what is available through your Council and how to take advantage of networks and links your Council provides to local community groups and organisations.
Of course you will be interested in first ensuring your basic services are running smoothly, but beyond these we encourage you to familiarise yourself with some of the other services undertaken by your Council by regularly visiting this website.
We hope that as you acquire more knowledge you will become an active and engaged member of our local community contributing your opinions via surveys and forum as they become available. We value your input and are interested to hear your views.
On behalf of the Elected Members and staff, I warmly welcome you to our community and wish you every success for the future. We hope this City proves to be a rewarding and fulfilling place for you to live, work and play, and I encourage you to contact us whenever you need further information or assistance.
Yours sincerely
Mayor Robert Bria
