Annual Salary up to $129,000 + Statutory Superannuation

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Manager to lead a newly created unit which will form part of a highly-productive and diverse organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a multi-skilled, innovative and pioneering Manager to establish and manage the Council’s new Arts, Culture & Community Connection Unit and lead it into the future.

As the Manager, Arts, Culture & Community Connections, you will be responsible for the Council’s key community arts, culture activities, community facilities, Events & Marketing, the Swimming Centres’ (at Payneham and Norwood), the iconic Norwood Concert Hall and Cultural Heritage program.

In this role you will be supported by the and report directly to the Chief Executive Officer, in an environment that will allow you develop, be creative and build relationships with Elected Members, staff, Volunteers and the community.

To be successful in this position, your experience in managing community facilities, youth services, community arts, culture and building community capacity, will be highly valued and using self-initiative, enthusiasm and maintaining positivity to achieve high quality outcomes for the community is a must.

To be considered for this Position, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in a related vocation;
• a minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing, community development, facilities management, place activation, or similar;
• experience in the management of diverse teams and functions;
• contemporary and innovative thinking;
• excellent problem-solving skills, a ‘can-do’ attitude and be highly organised;
• a strong passion to connect with the community and build a cohesive community; and
• tenacity, integrity and a determined attitude.

Passion towards your work, contributing to the constructive culture as a team member and an optimistic outlook is also essential for this position.
