Role Description
• Cultivate positive long-term partnerships between the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and its Volunteers

Salary of $80,000 - $85,000 + Statutory Superannuation. Part-time working arrangements are negotiable with a minimum requirement of 0.8 full-time equivalent.
Volunteers play an important and integral role in the delivery of the Council’s many services, programs and facilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic, friendly and highly motivated individual with exceptional interpersonal, service and administration skills who has a passion for people and community development.
The Role
As the Coordinator, Volunteer Services, you are responsible for motivating and inspiring people to join our team of Volunteers and ensuring the program is delivered professionally and effectively. This will involve:
• Reviewing and improving the volunteer program using innovative ideas and new initiatives
• Volunteer recruitment, induction and training
• Coaching, training and supporting the Volunteer Program Coordinators
• Utilising strong administration and governance skills to promote a best practice, high performing and legislative compliant Volunteer Services Program
About You
To be successful in this role you will bring a personable approach to working with people and an ability to cultivate positive long-term partnerships between the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and its Volunteers.
You are a motivated individual and possess the following skills and experience:
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to schedule and plan programs for a large number of Volunteers
• Accuracy and a high attention to detail
• Understand diversity and social inclusion
• Prior experience in a service, human resources, community service or Volunteer service role
Qualifications in Community Development, Human Resources or a related field will be highly regarded.
This position requires you to hold a National Criminal Record (Police) Clearance, Department of Human Services Working with Children Clearance and Vulnerable People Clearance.
