Annual salary of $84,000 - $89,828 + Statutory Superannuation
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is an inner eastern metropolitan Council, nestled on the outskirts of the CBD. The area enjoys a reputation as one of Adelaide’s most desirable places to live, work, study and visit.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Human Resources professional to join our organisation in a position that works with all departments of the Council on a variety of employment matters.
The Role
Reporting to the Human Resource Advisor, the Administrator, People & Culture is responsible for providing support to the organisation on key employment functions and employee life-cycle matters, including:
• Recruitment and onboarding
• Preparing employee documents and correspondence
• Updating and maintaining personnel records, database systems, templates, data and reporting
• Coordinating end of employment activities
• Providing generalist Human Resources assistance and advice
• Assisting with HR policies and procedures updates and communication
• Supporting the Council’s Enterprise Agreement Negotiation Committees and Staff Forums
• Assisting with the Council’s injury management and Return-to-Work process
• Assisting with the Council’s Payroll function, as required
About You
To be successful in this position you will have a positive attitude, be proactive and possess the following skills and experience:
• Minimum two (2) years’ experience working in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Work Health and Safety or related discipline (Essential)
• Knowledge of the applicable employment legislation and industrial instruments (Essential)
• Qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline (Desirable)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and databases
• A strong work ethic, integrity and understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and processes
• Motivated to work within a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
