Annual salary 78,893.62 - $84,618.53 + Statutory Superannuation
Permanent Part-Time - 0.6 FTE

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is an inner eastern metropolitan Council, nestled on the outskirts of the CBD. The area enjoys a reputation as one of Adelaide’s most desirable places to live, work, study and visit. From a planning and development perspective, the city has a rich heritage fabric which is balanced with medium and high-density residential growth. There is high demand for residential infill and commercial development, together with strong demand and vibrancy along some of the City’s premier retail strips.

An exciting opportunity has presented itself for a Planning Assistant to join our Development Assessment Unit and contribute towards shaping our vibrant City through supporting and assisting our Development Assessment Team.

The Role

Reporting to the Manager, Development & Regulatory Services, and working closely with the Authorised Officers, the Planning Assistant is responsible for the processing of Section 7 property search enquiries, the administrative tasks to publicly notify Development Applications, provision of customer service to citizens and staff, administrative support for the Council Assessment Panel and Building Fire Safety Committee and all other administrative tasks to support the team.

The delivery of accurate and timely written work and advice, an eagerness to help and assist, and an ability to identify and assist with process improvements will all be well regarded.
