Annual salary - Above Award rates, salary is determined by qualification as classified under the South Australian Municipal Salaried Officers Award and the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters Municipal Officers Enterprise Agreement.
0.6 FTE - Permanent Part Time (Monday’s, Wednesday’s & Friday’s)
The St Peters Child Care Centre & Preschool has a friendly and caring atmosphere that offers a highly professional early education service and educational program. The St Peters Child Care Centre & Preschool values a supportive learning environment for both the children and Educators and the importance of play in assisting children to learn.
The Role
The Educator works collaboratively with the Director and Team Leaders to provide high-quality education and care to children up to five (5) years of age in a supportive, nurturing and secure environment.
This hands-on position works in consultation with team members and families to document and assess children’s learning and to develop learning outcomes using the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
About You
To be successful in this position you will have a passion for working with children and their families, be committed to providing the highest-quality care and education and possess the following skills and experience:
• A Diploma or Bachelor level qualification in Early Education or Children’s Services or equivalent (essential)
• Certificate III in Early Education or Children's Services qualified educators are encouraged to apply
• First Aid Certificate, Education and Care Setting (HLTAID012B or a current HLTAID014) (essential)
• A Mandated Notification Certificate (essential)
• CPR Certificate (essential)
• Knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (desirable)
• Excellent communication and service skills
• Knowledge of Quality Improvement Plans and reflective practice (desirable)
• Commitment and passion for high quality care and education
• Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
