Annual salary of $105,348 - $112,528 + Statutory Superannuation

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced early childhood leader to step into a role where you can make a meaningful and lasting impact. As Director, St Peters Child Care Centre & Preschool, you will lead a well-regarded, Council-managed service that prides itself on its inclusive approach, strong relationships with families and commitment to high-quality learning and care.
As Director, you will lead the Centre with a clear focus on quality, collaboration and care. You will oversee daily operations while nurturing a strong team culture, supporting staff development and ensuring the Centre meets all regulatory and funding requirements. Working in partnership with the Manager, Chief Executive’s Office, you will also help shape the Centre’s strategic direction to ensure programs reflect the needs of children, families and the local community.
About You
We are looking for a confident and capable leader who brings:
• A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
• At least five years’ experience in a long day care setting, including three in a leadership role
• A deep understanding of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and CCS funding requirements
• A collaborative and inclusive leadership style with a focus on team development
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with staff, families and stakeholders
• A proactive, values-driven approach to continuous improvement and service excellence
You will also need:
• a current National Police Clearance;
• DHS Working with Children Clearance;
• First Aid (HLTAID012 or equivalent), including asthma and anaphylaxis training;
• Child Protection training (e.g. Responding to Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care Focus); and
• a valid driver’s licence.
