Annual salary of $81,260 - $83,225 per annum + Statutory Superannuation
Fixed Term Full-time opportunity until 30 June 2027.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Community Services, the Community Wellbeing & Transport Officer is responsible for supporting residents of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters who are eligible for the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), including individuals aged 65 years and over. The role is responsible for coordinating the Community Bus Service and a range of social programs, including Lunch at the Pub, Excursions, and Strength and Balance activities.
As the Community Bus Service is supported by a team of volunteers, including Community Bus Drivers and Helpers, this position also plays a vital role in coordinating volunteers’ day-to-day activities and providing ongoing support to ensure effective service delivery.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and caring team player who takes pride in their work and is passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of older people in our community.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to respond to enquiries, provide clear information and resolve concerns effectively.
• Experience supporting older people to access services, including assisting residents to navigate and connect with My Aged Care.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Experience working with and supporting volunteers.
• Experience in co-ordinating Social Programs.
• Experience coordinating or supporting the delivery of community transport services.
• A minimum of 12 months’ experience in aged care or a similar community services environment.
• A current Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Have the confidence to drive a larger vehicle (i.e. an automatic 12-seater minibus).
