We are seeking to appoint an Executive Assistant to support the Chief Executive Officer and Mayor of the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who demonstrates initiative in their work and can proactively and intuitively respond to the service needs of the Chief Executive Officer, the Mayor, other staff and the community.

The role requires you to work autonomously as well as with other staff from across the organisation to deliver a broad range of services and tasks, while also representing the Chief Executive Office in a professional and friendly manner.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
• High quality administration support;
• Researching and drafting correspondence, Council documents and reports;
• Diary, invitation, email and customer enquiry management;
• Co-ordination, set up and hosting of corporate meetings and events; and
• Building effective relationships and rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills and personal traits, including:
• a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a related role;
• excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills;
• thorough research skills;
• a meticulous attention to detail in drafting, editing and producing documentation;
• an amicable, friendly, personable and positive nature; and
• a professional approach and the ability to build rapport and relationships using warmth and diplomacy.
