Role Description
• Full-time – three (3) year fixed term contract

Joining our Development Assessment Unit as a First Year or recent Graduate or while you complete your final year of study, you will be supported to gain on-the-job experience and learning from our highly knowledgeable and skilled team in your first professional role as a Building Inspector.
Your role will focus on two key functions, including building inspections under the Build Code of Australia and reporting and resolving damaged infrastructure, which results from development works throughout the City, to provide you with a great foundation for a career in the Building Industry.
You will be working with highly experienced and skilled peers and a variety of professionals who will positively guide, teach and support you to reach your career goals. You will be working in a positive team environment with staff who seek to achieve excellence and enjoyment in their work.
Vital to your success will be your ability to communicate well with others, care for the detail and excellence in your work and your commitment to delivering outcomes for the community and our customers.
You must have completed a Tertiary Level Course or be in your final year of study of a Tertiary Level Course that is recognised for eligibility at the Building Level 4 accreditation in accordance with the Accredited Professionals Scheme established under the Planning, Development & Infrastructure Act, 2016.
