Cr Sandy Wilkinson
I grew up in a mid-century modern Local Heritage listed house in Heathpool, as well as overseas and have lived on Osmond Terrace Norwood since 2011.
I am currently President of Community Alliance SA and sit on the National Trust Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee and the Adelaide Cemeteries Authority.
I am married to Robyn, with two now adult children, Abbey and Hamish.
I have run my own design practice, Alexander Wilkinson Design, since 1999 and have degrees in both Planning and Architecture with honours in Conservation.
I have previously served on the Adelaide City Council from 2007-2018 in the pursuit amongst other things of protecting our unprotected heritage.
I would like the largely unprotected historic character homes, that make Norwood, to be comprehensively protected through expanded Historic Area Overlays, and I would like to see apartment development done in a way that enhances The Parade through greater tower setbacks.
I am now grateful to have been supported in the West Norwood/Kent Town By-election by many residents who clearly share my concern in these regards.
