Showcase your art throughout the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters, during the SALA Festival from 1–31 August each year
SALA fee reimbursements
Artists presenting an exhibition or participating in an open studio event as part of the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival within the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters are invited to apply for reimbursement of their SALA registration fee (up to $145).
How to apply
To submit your application, please complete the SALA Reimbursement Application (PDF) and email it, along with your SALA receipt, to:

Sunday 1 March - registrations open
Wednesday 8 April - earlybird registrations close
Wednesday 6 May - registrations close
Late submissions not be accepted.
The South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival is a statewide celebration of visual art, held annually throughout the month of August across South Australia.
Each year, the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters proudly hosts a wide variety of SALA Festival exhibitions across the Council area. These exhibitions are displayed in various venues, including galleries, cafés, restaurants, pubs, breweries, schools, and retail outlets.
Council support for SALA
The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters supports the SALA Festival and participating artists in the following ways:
- financial reimbursement - artists can claim up to $145 for their SALA registration fee if presenting exhibitions or participating in open studio events in the City
- promotion and awareness - actively promotes SALA to increase visibility and accessibility
- venue support - art is displayed at local businesses and venues, including the Norwood Town Hall foyer and The Gallery, providing accessible exhibition spaces
- community engagement - encourages participation through open studio tours, exhibitions, and artist talks, strengthening community connections to the arts.
