Salary $94,500 - $101,000 + Statutory Superannuation (subject to qualifications and experience)
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Council’s Economic Development & Strategy Unit which is responsible for coordinating and delivering a range of important strategic projects and policy initiatives.
The Role:
The Strategic Planner, Economic Development & Strategy plays a critical role in developing and implementing programs, strategies and initiatives that contribute towards achieving the Council’s Strategic Plan (CityPlan 2030: Shaping Our Future) and supports sustainable economic, social and environmental development within the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.
The Strategic Planner is responsible for delivering the Council’s strategic planning framework as well as a broad range of strategic and corporate projects, documents and policies.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be pro-active, outcome driven, take pride in the work you do and possess the following skills and experience:
• Tertiary qualification in Public Policy, Strategic and/or Urban Planning or similar (essential)
• Extensive experience in strategic analysis, planning and policy formulation
• Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating multi-skilled project teams to achieve outcomes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to form positive and effective working relationships
• The ability to successfully operate independently and as a key member of cross-functional working groups
• Strong problem solving, conceptual and analytical skills
• Experience preparing reports and information for various audiences
Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, strategic analysis, policy formulation and project work will be highly regarded for this position.
