Role Description

Three (3) year fixed-term contract. Annual salary $80,000 - $85,500 + Statutory Superannuation (subject to qualifications and experience).
Join our newly formed Arts, Culture and Community Connections team where you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with local Artists, Arts organisations, businesses and the community to deliver unique creative outcomes and experiences across all artforms.
The Role
The Arts Officer will work closely with the community and the Manager, Arts, Culture & Community Connections to develop the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters’ local arts and cultural identity and contribute towards building a community of strength, spirit, culture and inclusion.
About You
You will bring to this unique role your ability to think creatively and a willingness to test ideas to develop and celebrate our local arts and cultural identity. Vital to your success will be your exceptional project management, program development and community engagement skills as well as:
- Enthusiasm to develop programs that deliver arts and cultural initiatives across our city
- Knowledge of community cultural development practices
- Effective interpersonal skills
- The ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively
- Passion for the Arts sector
Experience in community or cultural development, arts administration or cultural planning, within local government will be highly regarded, but not essential.
