Casual Adult Hourly Rate of $39.13 + Statutory Superannuation (includes 25% loading).

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters is an inner eastern metropolitan Council, nestled on the outskirts of the CBD. The area enjoys a reputation as one of Adelaide’s most desirable places to live, work, study and visit.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Lifeguard to join our Arts, Culture & Community Connections / Swimming Centre Unit and contribute towards ensuring a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience for the users of the Council’s Swimming Facility.

The City of Norwood Payneham and St Peters owns and operates the Norwood Swimming Centre, located in Kensington This Centre operates 7 days per week (excluding Christmas Day) over a twenty-six (26) week Swimming Season from mid-October to mid-April.

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Arts, Culture & Community Connections Unit, the Swimming Centre Lifeguard is responsible for supervising the pool operations and ensuring a safe swimming environment for the community.

About You
To be successful in this position you will be an enthusiastic individual, who is goal-oriented and dedicated to the delivery of outcomes and possess the following skills and experience:
• Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard Certificate or equivalent (essential)
• Provide First Aid Certificate (essential)
• National Criminal History (Police) Clearance with no adverse findings (essential)
• Department of Human Services Working With Children Clearance with no adverse findings (essential)
• Pool Plant Operators Certificate (desirable)
• Previous experience as a Lifeguard (desirable)
